Nella storia ci sono dei momenti, dei periodi in cui si ha la sensazione che una brutta poesia, che sta però dalla parte della libertà e della democrazia, valga non soltanto più di una bella poesia che sostiene le posizioni opposte, ma anche di una lirica riuscita che non si schiera, che parla volutamente d’altro, che si nasconde e si mimetizza in attesa di tempi e di condizioni più favorevoli.
Sono periodi particolarmente drammatici e tormentati che dobbiamo augurarci di non vivere mai direttamente, dove anche i poeti si sentono spinti e costretti a prendere posizioni nette, a descrivere e a raccontare i fatti nella loro durezza, a denunciare ingiustizie e atrocità, a gridare la propria indignazione e rabbia, ad ammonire, condannare e ...
