Verrebbe voglia di intornare «Ma per fortuna che c'è il Pennacchi», come cantava Gaber con il suo Riccardo. E davvero, letto il romanzo-storia-epopea «Canale Mussolini» (Mondadori editore) bisognerebbe ringraziare la nostra buona sorte perché ancora fa nascere e scrivere gente come Antonio, questo meraviglioso Pennacchi, che se ne infischia delle mode, delle cronache, dei libri gialli, dei figli cretini, dei servizi segreti deviati, degli assassini, dei ladri, delle puttane di alto e basso bordo, componendo un affresco di così vaste e profonde dimensioni, un romanzo vero di una verità che non si nasconde, non si trucca, non si offre all'ambiguità, alla politica, alle ideologie e ai sofismi dei falsi maestri di ieri e di oggi. Un romanzo, cioè, che pur consapevole dei propri difetti, esibisce una travolgente voglia di scrivere, l'imprudenza fino alla temerarietà del raccontare, il gesto che salva e autentica i personaggi, le ...
